This is my newest photo project. There are so many cultures and languages where I live (Houston, Texas, USA), there are hundreds just in my school. I decided to photograph a small portion of my school's culture by having my classmates write down "I love you" in their native/second language and i then photographed them. enjoy!
That's an awesome and creative idea! I also love the chalkboard background. It sort of speaks loud and clear about how multicultural we've become (which, I for one, find enjoyable most of the time). One thing I think I'm sensing from this photograph, however, is that you were in a room with few to no windows, and so there was only the lighting of the flourescent bulbs. I may be wrong, but that light glare and the tones of things makes me think that was the case.
I really like this idea, but I think the lighting could be better. If you truly want to roll with this concept, I suggest you gather a few people at a time and stay late one day and use natural light from windows. Natural light will just always look better on skin tones, shadows, everything. Just a thought!
Again, awesome idea. It really shows you're thinking creatively!

This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and =Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
